The University of Findlay’s All Hazards Training Center is the industry leader in the development and delivery of custom safety and security training. Thousands of first responders and industry professionals are trained by the Center each year. The All Hazards Centers has two training facilities in Findlay, Ohio. The first is a five-acre facility located at 5000 Fostoria Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. This location includes classrooms and hands-on learning spaces. The facility features a multitude of training scenarios and props that clients use during classes including rail cars, multiple types of motor carriers, ditch/stream spill scenarios, buried drums, monitoring wells, inland water spill mitigation exercises, above-ground tank leaks, pipe repair techniques, surface spills and more.
The second training facility, Renninger Training Center, is located −on the main campus of the University of Findlay. This location is home to All Hazard’s main administrative offices, an interactive classroom, and a large indoor space for hands-on competency-based practice. The training area includes a two-story Confined Space Entry and Rescue Simulator with multiple types of entries and spaces, a simulated warehouse for hazardous site workers, and first responder training that includes dedicated areas and equipment for liquid transfer operations, container and environmental sampling, overpacking and salvaging, plugging and patching, and dress-out and decontamination.
Both locations are used by clients of the All Hazards Training Center and students participating in either the University of Findlay’s undergraduate or graduate Environmental, Health, Safety, & Sustainability academic programs.
